Samui Buri Beach Resort

If I were to describe the hotel briefly, it would look more like a dying business trying to make money from its guests in any way possible. The minuses include a large number of insects in our breakfast food, dirty vegetables, insects in the bed (and they were not mosquitos), very old plumbing, everything barely works. However, be careful with this hotel. Since we had a special situation that shocked not only us but also other guests. We damaged the hotel's property, and the general manager Yada instead of treating us humanely, showed herself in the most disgusting way. She threatened, blackmailed, deceived, quoted an unrealistic price for repairing the damage we had done, and behaved in a completely inhumane manner, not to mention that it was unprofessional. We never refuse our responsibility, but tried to resolve the issue in the most humane and honest way possible. However, the manager's mind was clouded, knowing that we were tourists and wanting to make as much money as possible from us, she constantly lied, couldn't provide real documents for the repair, changed her words, and when we told other guests at the hotel about this situation, everyone was shocked because this is not what you expect at a big, expensive hotel in Thailand. We are all humans and different situations can happen on vacation, but we always want other people to treat us well and this hotel is an example of the opposite, so be careful when you come there, you never know what can happen with you, but you can be sure that this hotel will treat you as badly as possible and will try to rip you off for all the money you have.

Kind staff, clean and comfortable rooms, you can rent a bike at the reception. 🙂

The breakfast was great, fresh fruit, omelet station, great coffee, and everything in between!

The beds are on the firmer side, but typical for Thailand. Guests were a bit standoffish. Staff was super friendly, but not always super attentive in the restaurant

It was overall what we were looking for, traditional, spacious and own pool access. The property was mostly quiet and peaceful. Fresh towels every day, and a very responsive reception desk that can be reached via WhatsApp, which helps with communication barriers.

The cleanness was substandard. There were termites and visible residuals around the bathroom vanity and the floors, which also indicated that the countertops were not wiped daily. Water was forgotten to be provided on the second last day. There were flying ants (or something similar) on the door lock which made us walk into a flying swamp every time we left or entered the room. The breakfast was hit and miss, some days there were simply no labels to the food, not great if you have any allergies or intolerances, or simply want to know what you possibly eat. Dishes and glasses were sometimes dirty. It almost depended on what crew was working. I’d expect more consistency from a hotel. The breakfast pastry was never fresh, always stale and heaps of flies around the fruits, mostly trapped inside the cover. Staff should be more attentive to such things. The most disappointing experience was that money disappeared from the room on the first morning while we were at breakfast. It was probably partly my fault because I didn’t lock my wallet away, but still disappointing that it was actually necessary to do so.
