The staff members we interacted with were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the use of the pool and Aqua Spa. Our apartment was clean and spacious with a sofa bed in the lounge. The kitchen had the basic you would expect like a kettle and the provision of tea and coffee enough for 2-4 people on a short stay.

I can’t think of anything I disliked about the property.

"Fabulous stay in this lovely country club"

Apartments were clean, well equipped and spacious. It was great that the spa & pool were included in the price. We never found it too busy. The staff were really helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Originally our apartments were not together but staff managed to change this, so that we were next to each other. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant. The pizzas were delicious and great value. We were visiting for a family funeral and all the staff in the Atlantic suite were amazing. The adventure golf and cabin cafe looked nice but were closed for most of the time that we were there as it was midweek. Thank you for a lovely stay. We would definitely visit again.

Location was great. Good space for what we needed. Enjoyed using the pool and facilities.

There were no cleaning products in the room apart from washing up liquid. Tea/coffee & milk wasn’t topped up.

The location was beautiful. Friendly staff. Great facilities.

As we stayed in many self catering locations, usually we get basic starter stuff everywhere we stay. Like, salt and pepper, a bit of oil or butter. Milk was provided. But, because we got use to other accommodations providing basics we were left unprepared and had to go shop first thing in the morning so we can cook breakfast. But, that will not stop us coming back in the future.

"Cancelled 2 hours before appointment time."

We had a spa day package booked at China Fleet Country Club today as a birthday treat for my partner, this included treatments, spa access and afternoon tea. Just two hours before our treatment time, we received a phone call cancelling the entire booking. Yes, we were offered the choice to rebook or receive a full refund, but for a supposedly high-end establishment, there was absolutely no effort made to acknowledge the huge inconvenience, disappointment, and financial loss this caused. My partner had taken the day off work unpaid for this, losing hundreds of pounds in earnings. We had also spent additional money preparing for the day, buying swimwear and other bits specifically for the spa trip. On top of that, this was booked for a Bank Holiday, meaning there was virtually no chance of arranging an alternative birthday treat at such short notice. What made it worse was the complete lack of empathy on the phone. When I explained the money we had lost and how much this had impacted the day, the response was simply “yeah.” An apology was given, but it felt empty when nothing whatsoever was offered to make amends. Cancellations can happen and I understand staff sickness is unavoidable, but cancelling a special occasion package with only two hours’ notice and then doing nothing beyond the bare minimum refund is extremely poor customer service, especially from somewhere that markets itself as a luxury experience. Very disappointing and has completely ruined what was meant to be a special birthday.
