Saigon Phu Quoc Resort & Spa

We stayed at Saigon Phu Quoc Resort for 9 nights over the Christmas and New Year period 2025, and based on the high rating, we had significant expectations which, unfortunately, were not met. The resort is visibly tired and does not live up to its 8.6 score on Booking.com. The most immediate let down was the pool area, as tiles were broken and discoloured, weeds were growing through the paving, and the pool water itself had an unclean, milky appearance. The beach bar was never properly stocked, requiring a walk to the main bar for even a simple drink. On a positive note, the rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, the best part of our stay. Breakfast was well laid out but the hot food was consistently lukewarm or cold. We must commend the staff, who were always polite and helpful despite the resort's clear operational shortcomings. A major contrast and lifesaver for us was discovering the Salinda Resort for a day visit. It was exceptional and highlighted just how much Saigon Phu Quoc needs a serious overhaul to compete. Advice for Phu Quoc Visitors: If you want a lovely stay, we highly recommend staying at the Salinda Resort. For great evenings, visit the Sunset Beach Bar and Versailles Beach Bar. Khem Beach is stunning with lovely restaurants. At night, visit Grand World in the north (after 7pm) to see the amazing Venice-style lit-up buildings with plenty of dining options. A final tip: do not bring old-series $100 USD notes, as exchanges will only accept new ones. Bottom Line: This resort is resting on past laurels. For a true premium experience on Phu Quoc, you will need to look elsewhere.

Läget var bra och skönt med både pool och strand!

Vi bokade ett rum för fyra personer men fick bara två sängar och fick därför betala för fler. Restaurangen kunde ha varit mer prisvärd. Beachbaren var helt öde, varken personal eller gäster var där. Inte så välkomnande.

Third time at this resort. It is getting a bit old but still deliver amazing days and nights. Staff is very friendly and service minded.

Der Strand ist nicht gut gepflegt, die Anlage ist allgemein renovierungsbedürftig.

This resort is fantastic. It is very nice, clean, spacious, with nice restaurant, good breakfast, nice swimming pool. Personal is also great. It has perfect location, with only small walk from night market and around are lot of great and cheap restaurants. I would definitely recommend.

Photos of beach are little bit tricky, Beach is nice, but very tiny/narrow. It was not a big problem, but those who expect to lay down on big spacious beach may be dissapointed.
