Waldo Emerson Inn

One of the best night sleeps I ever had. The historic building was impeccably maintained and Amelia and Ron were wonderful. Very comfortable.

This is kind of a good bad thing, but it was almost too quiet. Since the drinks are on the honor system, it would be nice if the first one was on the house. After travel when it feels like you are always pulling out your wallet to pay for something it's nice to sit back and have a drink and relax like you are home. Writing down what you owe on that first one reminds you that you are not. I recognize an open bar is cost prohibitive.

Ron and Amelia were the consummate hosts. The room was delightfully decorated and the two living rooms on the main level had very comfortable furniture as well as snacks and sodas. The building dates from the mid-18th century but the facilities were uptodate and tasteful. We were warmly welcomed by the owner, who then was our cook for the delicious breakfast. Coffee was hot and available outside our room in the morning.

The TV was new but it was a challenge to figure out to get the stations. It was possible to cast/Apple play to the TV but I had difficulty identifying which TV was in the room as Samsungs were in many rooms. Not a big deal but thought I would mention it.

Our stay at Waldo Emerson was perfect- we only wished we could have stayed longer! Amelia and Ron were extremely welcoming, the room was beautiful, and all the additional touches were so special! We will be back!

Beautiful older traditional property with a very homely atmosphere. Welcoming hosts and a delicious home cooked breakfast ( included).

Very sparse number of electrical sockets in the room.

Very historic, clean and comfortable. Amelia is an excellent hostess.

Beautiful Inn with wonderful hosts!! The amenities were excellent as was the food.
