Easy to find, Staff was friendly. Room was clean and very spacious for our family. We enjoyed the hot tub.

Next to the highway, which is convenient, but comes with noise. It’s a basic 3-star hotel building, but Fernie Fox has really done a great job of making it a wonderful guest experience.

My husband and I stayed at the Fernie Fox Hotel for one night over the Canada Day weekend. While the hotel was clean and well-maintained, a few aspects of our stay were disappointing. The TV required a reset from the front desk—not a major issue, but inconvenient after we were tucked into bed for the night. They should warn guests about being in the shower while someone else is using the toilet or sink in the room. It causes sudden extreme temperature changes in that took forever to normalize. I haven’t seen a plumbing setup like this in years. It was so hot it could easily burn someone, especially a child. The mattresses are worn out and the air conditioning couldn’t keep the room cold. The most upsetting part of our stay was how my husband was treated in the lobby. He had gone down to grab snacks for us wearing shorts and no shirt because it was a hot day. He’s heavily tattooed (but very kind and polite) Despite this, he was questioned about why he wasn’t wearing a shirt, asked if he was a guest, and then asked which room number he was in and who his partner was so the staff member could call up to verify it—even though he had been with me at check-in. We’ve stayed in hotels all over and have never experienced anything like that. It was intrusive and unnecessary. It made us feel very uncomfortable. I understand having guest safety in mind if he thought my husband was a stranger in the hotel but it could have been handled a lot better than it was.

I appreciated everything about this hotel. Great branding, and character it was clean and friendly. The fact that it is so eco friendly and locally supportive is a real stand out as well. We will definitely be back!

Not too far from downtown and a great, clean hotel with good amenities.

The room and the bed was very comfortable. It was very quiet even though it was very close to highway 3. The staff were wonderful. It was very clean. The hot tub was fantastic.

The air conditioner stopped working late on our last night. It was still warm outside so it made sleeping a little difficult

It was very quick and easy to check in. An added bonus was the guest kitchen we were able to use to gather to play cards with fellow travellers. We had access to a full kitchen if needed we could just clean up after using, very unique!
