Econo Lodge By the Falls

I booked two rooms for one night. I would keep my car parked until around 12:30 p.m. after checkout, which is something I normally do when I book hotels with included parking. At checkout, the employee told me that the manager’s policy was to charge anyone whose car remained after 11 a.m. I explained that I had checked out early, before 9:30 a.m., because I was traveling with two small kids and could not rush. Unfortunately, he said there was nothing he could do and that I would still be charged $15. We got to the car around 12:25 p.m., and I went back to the office one more time to ask if they could waive the fee. Again, the answer was no. I asked to speak with the manager, but no manager was on site. The hotel itself was okay, and I would not normally complain. However, this extra parking charge and the way the situation was handled made me feel that customer care was not important. I’m very disappointed. They lost a potential frequent customer over $15. It’s not about the money , it’s about how customers are treated.
