We had planned this trip in advance and were eagerly looking forward to it. Initially, we considered staying at another hotel, but the attractive photos of Barcarola Apartments convinced us to choose that establishment. However, upon arrival, we felt deceived and defrauded, as the actual accommodations were drastically different from what was advertised in the photos. This significant discrepancy between expectation and reality has left us feeling cheated. 1. What was promised: • A balcony with a sea view • A bright, spacious apartment with lots of natural light • Parquet flooring What we got: • A ground floor apartment with no balcony • A living room window that opens to a communal area, making us feel unsafe and lacking privacy • A dark apartment • Cold tile flooring, making the place feel chilly and unwelcoming 2. What we expected: • A common pool in the same building What we got: • The pool is in a different building, more than 10 minutes away, and we weren’t informed about this beforehand When we brought these issues to the reception staff, they were indifferent, offering no solutions.

Facilities were excellent and the sea view whilst minimal was lovely. You were woken by the sea in the morning it doesn’t get better than that. Pool facilities are lovely but cold no heater at the moment due to the drought.

Not its fault but its is next to a building site at the moment so noisy all day. It’s a 5 minute walk to the hotel which is fine but the key cards stopped working 6 times whilst we were there and all but one I had to run to the hotel for new ones as they had nobody. I had a 2 and 5 year old with me so they were usually cold or tired from the sea. This was far from acceptable. The last night the hotel next to the apartments decided to use a power hose to clean their pool area at 5am. Bonkers!

Stayed for 5 nights and didn’t receive enough towels or clean towels, we had dirty towels for 3 days! Kitchen isn’t well equipped. A lot of kitchen utensils missing: bottle opener, spatula, iron

Location was outstanding. The staff was friendly and helpful. The apartment was well kitted out. The proximity to the beach couldn't be better, as well as proximity to walking paths.

There's some deferred maintenance to be done in the apartment: broken light fixture in the main bedroom, damp rising up badly where it floods at the entrance to the apartment building.

Incredible apartments right near fabulous sandy beach. Very modern and spacious. Loved our stay so so much! We enjoyed using the hotel facilities nearby, the pool, gym, bar etc. Lovely staff, made us very welcome.
