The public areas are nicely decorated

I booked a standard double room. The actual room was completely different from what was represented on the booking site. It was one of the darkest most old-fashioned rooms I have stayed in for many years, photo attached. It was barely 3 stars, let alone the 4 star experience that it was supposed to be. The room was reached down long dark corridors with paint scuffed off the walls. Breakfast was chaos, with one coffee machine serving the whole dining room. There was only one visible waiter, who was very nice and we eventually did get some coffee from him. Buffet was very poor the first morning as it had been savaged by a tour bus group and not keep fresh.

Gorgeous hotel, beautifully renovated. I didnt use the pool but lobby, rooms and food were fantastic

We have stayed many times here. Reception and foyer have been done up and look great
