Everything about this place was incredible.

Everything, not a single complaint! The staff, location, facilities, food, just sensational.

The location of the hotel is magic, the views over the lake and the surrounding mountains and forests are incredibly calming and beautiful. The room (we had one in the side wing with a direct view over the lake) was immaculately appointed, great attention to detail both in the bedroom and the bathroom. Very high quality of materials was used, the lighting was also perfect, creating a cozy atmosphere, yet, where you needed more light like in front of the mirror in the bathroom and the reading lamps integrated in the headboards of the bed, you had the light you needed. Both bed linen and matrasses were of very high quality. The collection of paintings - mostly old masters - in public areas is impressive. The Schloss restaurant offers perfect views to the lake (open only for breakfasts and dinner). Valet parking worked perfectly fine. The head of the restaurant - Manasi - was extremely helpful, professional and gracious in arranging a birthday lunch for my mother which I hosted a couple of days after our stay at the hotel.

Despite the fact that in general all staff was friendly and helpful but many of them did not come across as professionally trained. We lacked some sort of natural graciousness, also the way how food or beverages were served did not always correspond to the quality I would expect from Rosewood. Some staff happened to have clothes which was partially a bit dirty (eg from spilled over food). Eventhough for me it was no problem at all, but most staff did not speak or almost did not speak German which is a bit a drawback for a German speaking location eventhough I reckon that the majority of guests comes from overseas. The hotel bar is nicely appointed but the music played there was a huge turn off; it was a combination of Abba and similar rather loud or Pop Music which really does not fit to a nice classic hotel bar with a fire place. Calm Jazz or piano music would have been the perfect fit for the place. Hence we escaped as fast as possible after our pre dinner drink to get away from the music. We also noted that eventhough the hotel has been in operation for only two years, there already were signs of wear and tear (for instance there were places where plaster work and paint fell off in the corridor on the way to the Schloss restaurant and the bar). Such things should be really immedeately fixed and not left as they were. As far as the Seeterasse Restaurant is concerned, this was not a real architectural gem despite the beautiful views to the lake, both in terms of the decoration and the different rather cheap wooden ceiling panelling and the white heating panels fixed on the ceiling. This could have been certainly done in a more elegant way. The lighting in the ladies restroom is too dark, ladies who intend to refresh their make up can have difficulties doing so. Also fabric hand towels rather than paper towels in the public restrooms would have made a better impression.

Die Lage und der Blick auf den See sind einfach ein Traum! Daneben eine wirklich gelungene Renovierung, das Hotel ist wunderschön, die Zimmer äußerst ansprechend eingerichtet, sehr bequeme Betten, schöne Kunst im Haus, tolles Design! Ein rundum gelungenes Konzept. Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen. Beide Restaurants im Haus sind ebenfalls sehr ansprechend, das Restaurant unten am See konnten wir wegen des Wetters leider nicht nutzen. Wir fanden auch das Spa sehr schön. es dort gibt Liegen, die auf einer Glasveranda sind, man fühlt sich auch wenn der Raum geschlossen ist, als ob man in der Natur liegen würde, einer der beiden Pools ist ein beheizter Pool im Außenbereich, in den man von innen hinaus schwimmen kann

Beim Service hakt es immer mal wieder, einmal funktioniert der Frühstückservice top, einmal ein einziger Fail, ewige Wartezeit auf die Eierspeisen. Erst nach einer halben Stunde auf Nachfrage wurden sie serviert. Einige Speisen auf dem Buffet wurden ab 10:00 Uhr nicht mehr aufgefüllt. Eine Parkgebühr von 35 € pro Nacht finde ich übertrieben. Anfragen per Mail oder über Booking dauernd in der Regel eineinhalb Tage. Für uns war es etwas merkwürdig, dass man immer auf Englisch angesprochen wird, das lässt sich aber verkraften. Die Preise in der Bar und im Restaurant sind im obersten Bereich angesiedelt. Dem entspricht die Qualität der Speisen aus meiner Sicht nicht, das Essen ist gut, aber einfach zu teuer. Im Spa werden den ganzen Tag die Handtücher auf den unbesetzten Liegen nicht weggeräumt, in den Toiletten dort fehlt immer wieder Toilettenpapier.

I have to say, Rosewood really gave us a wonderful memory for our 1st year Anniversary. By checking in, the staff gave us 2 glasses of special welcome drink, nice color and nice flavour! They prepared a delicious cake, a bottle of Rosé and a very warm hand-written card in our room. The weather were also perfect for nice photos, the view from every corner, especially from the restaurants are like fairytale. We were really so grateful for this wonderful and remarkable experience in Rosewood.

Everything is perfect! We will definitely come back again!
