Monte Villa Hotel

This was an historic hotel and very well kept. The furniture is antique, and beautiful, very comfortable. The free breakfast had a good variety of food. We loved the antique elevator, which is faster than a modern one. Every floor had a sitting area, beautifully furnished. The staff is friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking behind the hotel.

Friendly staff; cool historic building; renovations seem to be a work in progress

This is a historic building and it is very dated. Interesting design with common areas like living rooms on each floor. Rooms are tiny and while they have the usual microwave and fridge, a desk and chair, if there is a king-sized bed in the room, you can barely get around. Bathroom is so small that two people can’t be in there at the same time. This could be a great property, but it needs some major upgrades.

Easy check-in and check-out. Breakfast was good and there was plenty of food. Very nice people running and working in the hotel. Excellent recommendations for supper. Clean and quiet rooms. All around a very nice, restored old hotel with lots of charm. For a one night stay excellent value! Thank you.

I enjoy the wonderful memories of the El Monte Hotel during Ski-Hi- Stampede for the last eighty years !.

I was there for just one night but it exceeded my expectations. I did go with not so high expectations as the price of the room was very reasonable

This is an older town. So i expected an older hotel. The elevator was broken when we arrived. So I had to carry my big luggage up the stairs to the room. And then back down when we left. The staff was nice. She put us on the second floor. The shower was smaller side, the sink in the restroom was small. So small that I had a difficult time brushing my teeth. The bed was comcomfortable. There was a small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker in the room. The breakfast was ok. They have a good breakfast. Some items were cold and not cooked throughly.
