Tholos Resort

The view, the staff, the room and the food is awesome!!!

Tholos was great although they were very strict on their check in time. Me and some of the other guests had to wait in their restaurant in the heat until they had our rooms ready. Some hotels allowed early check in. But they gave us a complimentary orange juice while we waited. The view was amazing, and the room was gorgeous for a cave inspired suite. However one of days during our stay they had a temporary power outage not just them but the whole block on that side of the caldera suffered. So we had no food, water, or electricity. We had to walk to the neighboring town of Fira to get some food. Also I didnt feel a special sense of Anniversary welcome from them. No card, no flowers on the bed, just happy anniversary greeting from the concierge.

View was awesome from the private balcony! However, room cleanliness was not up to par to the toom cost; hairs were everywhere (all across the bedroom and bathroom floors and beds). Matresses were stained and old. Amenities such as steam room, dehumidifier, and A/C were outdated and not working at all. Shower and sinks were clogged. However, management and staff were great and very helpful!!! For the cost, wouldn't recommend; will definitely stay somewhere else on our next visit!

The Tholos Resort has exceeded my expectations, from the beautiful staff, to the clean rooms, friendly and accomodating to any queries we had. Would highly recommend!

The property is beautiful and the staff was amazing! The views from our room were breathtaking!

The staff were nice but there were many minor issues. When we arrived they did not have our booking. Also, during our stay: wifi was inconsistent, there were two plumbing issues - one with the sink and we woke up to the horrible smell of sulphur one morning, there was a phantom transportation fee they tried to charge, I ran out of hot water more than once and the water stopped flowing during one of my showers. Finally, there was a brown out (i.e. no electricity for over 2 hours). Like I said, minor issues but given the fees charged and that this all happened over a three night stay, it did not meet my expectations. The location, however, was great.

The towels are not soft. It’s like having sandpaper in your body when you dry after a shower. The wi-fi signal is very poor: but the personal is excellent.

It was great and wonderful stay. Margarita and Almie is very welcoming. Victor is very helpful and helped us with our luggage. Place is quiet and wonderful. Swimming pool is always clean. Breakfast is tasty and always arrive on time. Waiter who deliver our breakfast is quiet and nice. Place is just amazing. Ill come back to this place anytime

Great hotel in a great location. Room was spacious and clean (and ultra modern). The pool area was comfortable with great views, and the front desk was great and made sure everything in our stay was in order. Would definitely return.
