Svarga Bebek Villas

We travelled on mid of March, family of 4, 2 rooms from Batuan Villas. Once we arrived, we were greeted with refreshing juices that sufficiently cool us down in that hot weather of Bali. Check in procedures were fast, the staff led us to our rooms and showed us the facilities around. The rooms were lovely, the bathrooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast they provided were really good and healthy, Western or Indonesian style served with fresh fruit juice and fruit salad. I personally don't mind to have them everyday. We were also offered free afternoon tea coupons. I highly recommend Bebek Tepi Sawah restaurant next to the hotel (not the one we had our breakfasts), this is one of the must-eat restaurant in Ubud, they are famous for their smoked duck. The hotel provides free shuttle bus service, in fact, mini vans, they will drive you to anywhere in Ubud, and pick you up at the time and place that you preferred. It's very convenient. On the last night of our trip, we tried to book for a spa session from the hotel. Unfortunately it was fully booked, the staff were very helpful that they arrange another spa not far from the hotel and arrange transportation. We really enjoy the stay at Bebek Tepi Sawah and pleased with their service.

Great hotel, restaurant and staff. But this is a little way from Ubud central. More suited to those on a sceond visit to Ubud that want to relax in an awesome location.

An airport pick up would have been nice.

My girlfriend and I spent two nights in Ubud, and loved this hotel. We arrived early and they were able to check us in with out any problems. The property is very nice and the restaurants had amazing food. Breakfast was delicious! We also had free afternoon tea and fried bananas. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

This was a great choice as it was outside Ubud however the shuttle service was excellent. I preferred the room on the second floor rather than the ground level as I fear bugs insects etc The mosquito coils were a great addition to the room as we didn't see or feel any mosquitoes. Staff are exceptional and the food was great. Not a five star hotel with all the amenities however small pool which was clean..

Great rooms, huge and very clean. However, service is very poor and inefficient, staff is complacent, food is average at best and over priced, and their shuttle bus to the city centre hardly reliable

This place was nice, but it's not right in Ubud, so it makes it a little annoying to get around. The hotel runs a shuttle, but you have to tell them when you will return, which is difficult to estimate. Also, the staff's English is OK, but not perfect. The food was ok, and the room was really nice. We really enjoyed our outdoor shower that came w/ the villa! Also, the hotel has a nice set of drivers for excursions.

This hotel may be a bit away from centre of Ubud, but their friendly staff and shuttle service make it a very good choice. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful.

Overall this was a great place to stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and the hotel itself was beautiful. This was our first time in Bali but we were very impressed with the setting of the hotel amidst the rice fields with its lovely garden and pool. The free shuttle bus to and from the town centre was fantastic especially as the number of official cabs in Ubud seemed to be very small and we were not overly keen on haggling with unofficial cab drivers every time we wanted to go for a meal. The free breakfast provided was also pretty good. The attention to little details like putting a mosquito coil on your balcony each night was also really nice. The thing that really put the icing on the cake, as it were, was that a gamelan orchestra was practicing in the restaurant of the hotel each night and this made for a very pleasant and relaxing accompaniment to relaxing in the evenings.

Don't let the out of town location put you off. This is a delightful hotel with a very convenient shuttle service. The room was large and clean with an attractive view of the gardened pool area and the restuarant offers an unusual dining experience.
