La Quinta by Wyndham Fairbanks Airport

We stayed at the Fairbanks AK location. We had a 6 am flight. They had a shuttle ready for us at 4:30 am. So we were able to give our rental car back the night before. Hugely helpful! In general, we had a very comfortable stay. The shower and beds were great! The only problem was the broken room air. It was impossible to adjust. Because there were no vents, we got A LOT of cold air blowing over us. The hotel itself was clean, well appointed and had these magnificent willow wood sculptures on each floor. I tried to inquire as to the maker, but no one knew. If anyone is reading this, I would love to find out who/when/where made them. I think it would be great if they labeled them with all information regarding the sculptures. They are true works of art and La Quinta should be proud to display them appropriately!

The room attendants weren’t cleaning rooms daily. On days they were dumping trash from room they didn’t make the bed. Even though the schedule was pointed the do’s were not all done. The staff was very helpful and kind.

Nice hotel

I locked in this hotel as it was one closest to the airport and we were traveling from Denali to Fairbanks to catch a 2am (midnight) flight, so an early checkin was requested and we received a unavailable notice via email; so I called and talked with Tim (front desk) and he confirmed the type room I had booked, which their were only two at this location, were occupied and he had no idea when the rooms would be vacated or cleaned for our arrival; however, he provided an option to move into another type room which was immediately available. Once we arrived he quickly registered us and offered something from the b'fast buffet as it was closing as he knew we were going to take naps to get ready for our late night flight back to the lower 48's. He when beyond what I have expected and received at other hotels during this trip - so well done Tim, our family appreciated your focus and customer service.

Great location close to the airport and restaurants etc.

The woman at the front was so nice. I felt like a grandma would be making sure everything was safe at the whole hotel. This will be our go to.

Rooms were exceptionally small!!!!
