The staff was lovely and the room was cute

The pillows were a bit firm

The room itself was a bit snug but fine for two people and it was clean and tidy. The dining area was nice and spacious and the staff there were lovely and party members commented on how good the food was.

The room we were given backed onto a very active train line and we had to have the windows open as it was a very hot weekend so almost hourly we were woken up, the second day we bought ear plugs which fixed the situation but maybe it would have been good to know ahead of time. The room had no Aircon or fan so we were baking, didn't sleep under the covers once and actually left a day early as we couldn't face another night of trains and unbearable heat. From others who stayed in other rooms the train wasn't an issue so if you visit ask not to stop in a room at the back of the property (we were in room 147 I believe).

Was a small beautiful hotel. Nice room and facilities. Was very tidy and well kept.
