The Solon Langworthy House

It’s was nice and quiet! We loved the area as it was very homey!

It was a very old nice Inn in a historic part of Dubuque. Close to downtown.

Did not see any staff except when we arrived the door was locked so he let us in and never saw anyone else. We had to make our own breakfast.

Solon Langworthy is a sweet, secluded and unique B&B in Dubuque. To me, it fit into my image of Dubuque. The house is old with a lot of character and modern appointments. Old school trust abounds. No one greeted us- but there were welcome notes directing us to our rooms; encouraging us to have a beverage out of the refrigerator and to pop popcorn and watch a movie. The house is quick 4 minute drive to Main St or the Mississippi. It’s a beautiful city (that can get raging storms but the house is solid). I can with my daughters on a whim and we are leaving with a memory.

I enjoyed the hospitality and making us feel comfortable, also keeping refrigerator full at all times with alot of healthy food.

Very pleasant will recommend to friends.After getting my booking cancelled by your company,It was very nice that the staff at Ramada went way out of there way to help me out considering the fact there were no vacancies left at the hotel.

Loved the location close to town ... only a 7 minute walk. Tame deer all around.. BEAUTIFUL. Great staff, nice breakfast.. and sooooo quiet.

The house was fine but not located within walking distance of major sites. We had the suite and all the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Everything was self serve. We did not see anyone the two days we stayed there.

Room was spacious, great bathroom, breakfast was ready and at your own pace (so yes we ate a little after 10am, but easy, not rushed, and like the others, the waffel's were great with fresh fruit on top!). I will stay again next time out. The outside could use some work, but it is clear the owners have been doing projects and working around the house. So all in good time.

Very nice place. WE both enjoyed it as a comfortable, clean, and restful place for our 21st wedding anniversary. No interaction with owners/managers disappointing. Why have a B & B if you can't converse with the hosts, or make requests?
