"A rare find"

This is an incredible property for gophers. The grounds have a pond that is private and natural with fish. The golf course is vast and beautiful. There is a state of the art spa., and, all is affordable.

"High quality and attention to detail, except the bunkers had no sand in them."

Combination of the Chateau and golf course.

The bunkers on the golf course are in disrepair. Not advised to book in advance for evening dinner, no spaces available on the day.

"Very disappointing and we will not go back."

Our room was fine, although we were missing a bath mat.

We had a very bad experience at dinner. One main course was totally cold, the plate was so cold it seemed that it was coming out of the fridge. When we complained, the plate was taken back and warmed up, I assume, in the microwave. Then the meat was very chewy. After that, we were totally ignored for the rest of the evening. At the end of the meal, we had to go to the bar to request our bill. By that time, my husband was very upset and refused to pay for the main course that was served cold. The maitre d'h was very arrogant and rude. My husband has been in the restaurant business for over 40 years and was extremely disappointed by that attitude.

"For 5 star hotel they didn’t offer what should be."

Beautiful location, great food.

The hotel has a pool and they ask for 40e per person per use of pool which is unexpected. Every room in hotel if you are staying should let you use pool. Otherwise you shouldn’t advertise hotel’s pool or be specific upfront. Also chocolate store was not open although on the door was that this was working hours. The hotel called me in advance that we cannot have a dinner on Friday only as they are full although we are guests of hotel on Friday and Saturday. On arrival they said both nights we cannot have dinners in hotel as they are full. A half hour later they manage to accommodate us with Friday night spot for dinner. Breakfast is not included, meanwhile all is far to buy a breakfast, although on arrival I’ve asked if we have a breakfast. Shower had sign of wet/ mould on tiles, other than that room was good and bed very comfortable.
