Leopold Hotel

Great location. We have stayed several times and usually like the bedrooms

We had a small bedroom that didnt have enough space around the bed and was poorly lit. Ok for one night but very disappointing for a returning guest and a five night stay

Hotel was very clean and bed comfortable

Although hotel is in good location the outside noise was very loud to 2 am. The heating in our room only blew cold air, there was a spanner symbol on the display. We tried to contact reception but it went to voicemail so we went down and we were told to try to reset the heating which we did to no avail so we returned to reception and they said a heater would be sent up, it never turned up. The extraction fan in the toilet also ran the entire night, lights on or off no difference. What is the point of night staff if nothing happens

The noise coming from outside through the closed bedroom window until 3am was bad

Breakfast wasn’t the best and the breakfast area was small and dated. Staff however were excellent

Fun room (two levels), great location and a very very good English breakfast buffet. Perfect scrambled eggs, exceptional mushrooms. Usually cooked breakfast buffets are a huge disappointment but this one was worth the calories. Close to cathedral, Cutler's Hall for the Goldsmith's fair (June) etc.

Could say it feels a little tired - but only in the grand old lady sort of way. This is not an Ibis (stay elsewhere if you want swanky modern).
