Hotel Bakoua Les Trois Ilets

The hotel was very good overall, the wifi doesn't work well in the rooms. Have to keep in mind that electrick sockets are European so better have an adapter kit if you want to charge your phone or your laptopl

We chose this hotel for our wedding night as it is advertised as the best hotel in Martinique but the equipment are pretty old, and the rooms lacks of charm (we had a room by the beach) and they are not soundproof, so prepare yourself to be burdened by your neighbours' noise. Apart from that, the service is very available and the maids are nice.

The receptionists are rude. Room was horrible, leaking water in the bathroom, no light bulbs in the lamps, no internet for almost 2 days - altho supposedly, included in the price. The gate to the property does not open for a few minutes, even in the middle of tropical pouring rain, the line of people in and out of the cars- but of course, the hotel staff does not want to be bothered, especially at this time. Generally, a very bad experience. Food was OK.

The hotel was great except for one cranky staff member. The package adverstised was not delivered according to the specs. Only 1 bed not two, no paper, the only English speaking TV show was ESPN. Surprisingly, except for the buffet breakfast, the food was terrible. The nicest hotel in Trois Ilets.

The Bakoua trois ilets is a fine hotel. The best part were the beds, they were wonderful ! The room was quite large, I just wish there was a stuffed chair (fauteil) . I would also suggest they put some wash clothes in the bathroom. Every evening we received a new bottle of water, which was welcomed. Another suggestion was to have a coffee maker in the room, that would have been great, but they did have a small refrigerator.All in all, a good experience.

Nicely located hotel with a lovely Infinity pool overlooking beach and sea, and a nice beachfront. The hotel has extensive grounds, some of it nicely landscaped with tropical garden arrangements. Overall state, and especially some of the surroundings outside the hotel grounds, are outdated and run down. The hotel has charm and the basic necessary amenities but does not live up to its potential. The price / performance relation is not met, the 4 star rating seems overstated. Staff generally is friendly but bar service is very slow. The ferry connection to Fort-de-France is convenient but not very frequent.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, even though there could be difficulty if the travelers do not speak French. There is always someone on staff who speaks English and they are extremely helpful and encourage U.S. travelers

The hotel is fine but nothing exceptional for a 4 star hotel! The main problem is that next door there is an old abandoned very large building (an old hotel) which gives a terrible atmosfiere to the place....
