Breakfast was really good, location was beautiful

Unique buildings, friendly proprietors with ideas for activities, excellent breakfasts, clean, off-the-beaten path surrounded by forest.

Hazards include uneven stairs, minimal/old outlets, no walking pathways (had to walk on rough gravel driving surface -- easy to stumble and fall), locks don't always lock.

The rural location a few miles from Patagonia was lovely. The proprietors were friendly and gracious. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was first class.

The house has 3 bedrooms: one in the front, one in the back, and one immediately adjacent to the dining room/ kitchen area. The B&B is hosting 2 young men on temporary work assignment in the area. They occupy the front and rear bedrooms. Alas, they need to be on the job at 4:00 AM, so the kitchen gets busy starting about 3AM. There is no way to escape the sound/activity for the poor sole trying to sleep in the bedroom immediately adjacent. Even earplugs were useless. The young men are on the job until October. Why the proprietors would submit a guest to this middle-of-the-night frustration escapes me. I would highly recommend that any potential guest inquire whether they would be asked to spend the night in that middle bedroom - and if so look for another place to stay.

The breakfasts were delicious. The patio had many bird feeders so we saw many various species that we didn’t see in the wild. We enjoyed the company of the hosts very much!

Mary Jane and Tom were very nice and happy to show us around their property. They are very proud of their homestead. The bird viewing and nature are just wonderful. It was so peaceful to be outside of town yet an easy drive in. The Inn is also on the gravel bike riding routes.

The sink in the bathroom did drip a bit and surfaces had some dust.

Our stay at the Spirit Tree Inn was exceptional! We were welcomed when we checked in and the breakfast was wonderful! The area is so peaceful and it was such a treat being able to watch birds in from of the house! We will definitely came back again when we're in the area!

The hosts are delightful and serve an exceptional breakfast. Wildlife and quiet after a busy day hiling.

We have stayed here before and love it. However, keep in mind that it is having a 100 year old building anniversary and could use some updating and a deep cleaning.

Off the beaten path, quiet country setting, picturesque scenery, wildlife and Mountain Views, historic farm property with giant cottonwoods and antique barn. Hosts are absolutely lovely people! Thoughtful and accommodating, they really want people to enjoy their stay.

Water NOT DRINKABLE. Bad odor in room. Cannot lock room door. Breakfast low quality
