Motel 6 Paris, TX

Short stay. Reasonable location. Older rooms and amenities.

The room was nicely updated and clean. The common areas were run down and littered by other patrons.

The toilet would not refill the tank by itself. The TV remote only worked well when you held it behind the TV set where they had placed the receiver box inside the wall. Half the towels in the room were dirty when arrive. The lock on the door was hard to unlock and only worked for one of two keys when you pull the key out at one specific rate. Other rates would not work.

Basic Motel 6 standard. I was not expecting much and got exactly that. Other residents were noisy overnight. Reception staff were pleasant and helpful.

It was ok for a motel 6. The room was what you would expect. The ground need improvement and the service was poor. No shampoo or conditioner in bath.

Arrived around midnight. Couldn’t get the desk clerk to wake up and check is in till around 1am. I was in a strange city, hundreds of miles from home and the fear of no where to sleep for almost an hour.

Over priced. Trash every where as most of the people staying here actually live here. Had no idea upon booking. My father in law has stayed at this hotel so that’s why we booked it. Now I regret it. Our door was broke and didn’t work. They had to literally manually let us in every time we left and needed to go back in. Bed slides all over the frame. The bed is hard. They give you a flat sheet for a blanket. People work on their vehicles in the parking lot. People have charcoal grills on the top floor balcony so our room and clothes smelled smoky all the time. $300 for 3 nights? Obsurd and not worth it for the price. The clerks must live here because the office always smelled of cooking and different family members in and out. OH and there was a 9mm bullet shell casing at the top of the stairs. 1.5 star stay and I give it that because we didn’t get shot at and we were able to have our dogs here.
