Hyatt House Morristown

The room was clean. THe kitchen was well equipped. I liked that the bed was behind it's own door away from the rest of the room.

The common areas just were not very clean. I was disappointed just from walking into the lobby and I took stairs to the parking lot and there was garbage everywhere.

I had to leave before breakfast, wanted to get to work on time . My check in was fast, front desk personnel was amazing, the room was throughly cleaned & I had a peaceful night.

I had to leave before breakfast but was allowed to have a cup of tea but one of the staff member told me that I was to early for breakfast. It starts @ 6:30 not 6:15. I felt so embarrassed.

I recently stayed at Hyatt House Morristown and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. I am a long-time Hyatt customer and have stayed at many Hyatt properties over the years. I have never encountered this level of disorganization and lack of guest care. On Sunday morning, the fire alarms went off twice — once for approximately 30 minutes and again for about 15 minutes. The alarms were extremely loud and high-pitched. I am particularly sensitive to loud, high-frequency sounds, and the prolonged alarms were not just disruptive but very stressful. When I called the front desk to ask if there was an actual fire, the staff had no information and stated they were waiting for the fire department. There was no communication to guests, no reassurance, and no visible sense of urgency. It was unsettling and handled poorly. After nearly 12 inches of snow fell Sunday into Monday, I went outside to clean off my car and discovered it had been plowed in by the hotel’s snow removal. Snow had been pushed directly behind my vehicle, trapping it in the parking space. When I asked the front desk for assistance — even just a shovel — I was told they were not responsible and there was nothing they could do. At one point, staff even attempted to blame “Hyatt corporate” for the situation, rather than taking ownership of what had occurred on their property. There was no empathy and no willingness to help resolve the problem they created. As an older guest, being expected to shovel heavy snow without assistance is not only unreasonable but potentially dangerous. I had no way to obtain a shovel because my car was blocked in. I ultimately had to contact Hyatt Customer Support, who then contacted the hotel before someone finally came out to remove the snow. When I later expressed my concerns to staff — including pointing out that a guest injury under those circumstances could expose the hotel to liability — I was met with attitude rather than professionalism. There was no apology and no acknowledgment of responsibility. Between the mishandled fire alarms, the lack of communication, and the refusal to assist during a major snow event, this stay fell far below the standard I expect from Hyatt.

Hyatt House Morristown is well located and extremely reasonable. The accommodations are superb and unrivaled for the value. You can expect top notch service from the staff and management. When travelling on business or pleasure, I strongly recommend staying at the Hyatt House Morristown. You will not be disappointed.

Breakfast awesome, they have a bar that opens at 5. You can get food and drinks. Very clean.
