Beautiful location, charming old building with really friendly staff

I liked it all

The hotel is in a beautiful village. Nice lobby, bar and restaurant with a good selection of food and drinks. Breakfast is substantial and there is a good variety.

Road is quite narrow and steep up to the parking lot.

Location. Breakfast good and very pleasant and efficient waiters.

Room was small and hot and bedding heavy. Hard to sleep.

Lovely property, central to where we wanted to visit, rooms were basic but was very comfortable , peaceful location.

Nothing to dislike

Such nice staff, a great team, friendly and down to earth. I was very pleasently surprised to find out that the restaurant was Sri Lankan owned so the Sri Lankan set menu was a no brainer, it did not dissapoint. The bar was a really nice mix of locals and tourists, playing pool or drinking cocktails. The restaurant and outside eating areas are a smart but relaxed environment. The rooms have comfortable beds and cotton sheets etc slopey creaky floors, as you would expect from such a hsotoric building. The atmosphere and good food make this far more memorable than a swanky hotel costing 3 times as much in Broadway. We will be back very soon. Best wishes, Simon, Joe and Woody

Très belle établissement historique de charme au coeur d’une région magique.

L’hôtel est un peu négligé et mérite un rafrechissement. Les terrasses sont mal entretenues comme la totalité de la structure. Dommage pour cet bel endroit.

Good location, lovely staff

Hotel is obviously in need of refurbishment in places, lots of chipped paint etc. Poor breakfast.. fruit ? An apple or an orange?? .. nothing freshly prepared, poor yoghurt options . No natural, eggs? Can't have poached or boiled, ..pappy sliced mass produced bread.. in fact the food overall was mediocre (I didnt have any Thai option at dinner .. I'm told they're great.. but the rest ? Prepared stuff ..catering on the cheap ... for £189 for one night (I know it was Bank Holiday) ??? Should I be satisfied with the cost and quality of food, just because its BH ?? No, there should be consistency of standards .. IMO
