Thhis Residence Inn was among the best we have experienced. The welcome, the accommodations,the breakfast, the quiet in the halls, rooms and gathering areas, friendly staff and cleanliness are all obvious. Knowing hidden costs are serious enough to become an issue for the political candidates, I find the charge for parking highly objectionable. Free parking is first on Trip Advisors list of benefits. I found an$18 charge for parking on my credit card and was told that is the charge for parking at this Inn. Bothersome and below my standard for a Marriott property. I called and after many connections to AI answering devices, spoke to a person on site and was told $18 is the charge for parking.

The staff are very nice, the food is nice and the rooms are great. Although I had a couple of mechanical problems (leaky faucet and broken ice maker) the staff was more than willing to fix, but I declined for it to wait until after my stay. I managed very well, it was nice to just rest and get away. I do suggest reflector poles at the entrance where there is a lane divider. The area is a bit dim and the divider was hard to see. Otherwise, this was one of many visit and I plan to come back again soon. My visits are usually for much needed rest to reset and be alone, I'm grateful for the opportunity and lovely rooms. I have always put Marriott first for a friendly family hotel that remains warm and inviting. Blessings and thank you for all you do. PS, I didn't like paying for parking but I understand the need to cover cost.

The Marriott Residence Inn in Silver Spring is the blandest Residence Inn I have ever stayed at. The color scheme throughout is essentially grey on grey. Frankly it is depressing. Whoever came up with the color scheme didn’t do the chain any favors. With that said, the staff is friendly, the complimentary breakfast adequate, and the coffee is surprisingly good. If one is here in the summer, there is also a large pool outside. My one big gripe is that parking costs $18 per night! I could understand that if the hotel was located in a city. The Silver Spring Residence Inn is located in the hinterland on the edge of a business zoned area. Across the street is a huge shopping area with a free parking lot! There is zero reason for charging $18 per night (via a third party app no less), except to add to their profit line! I expected better from a Marriott! Very disappointing!

Excellent customer service

Excellent and convenient property

7 cars broken into overnight. 0/10 do not recommend Management did not bother notifying guests who were victims of the break-ins, and there were no security cameras. There was nothing in my car to take. Police won’t come to take reports. Stay here at your own risk.

I should have to stay for 3 or 4 days but because of very noisy I couldn't even though 1 days
