Britannia Hotel Bolton

The location was handy and very easy to get to.

We didn't have any cleaners come and change the towels or do a tidy up in general. Bed was ok bit hard. I didn't think the price was worth it.

The customer service was amazing

If i could rate this place a -10 stars i most definitely would. It was like something out of a horror movie. due to the condition of the room me and my 5 year old could not stay in the hotel.The lighting was unsafe the bed was unsafe and broken the room was dirty I wouldn't be comfortable staying there on my own never mind with a child it was completely unsafe. There was duck tape on the light switches which was at eye level with my child the room was filthy and upon leaving there was 2 men with drugs in the hall way i had a 5 year old child with me you know the condition of the hotel people taking drugs in the hallway why would you let someone book in with a child. I was advised upon leaving i would receive a refund that day it took 3 weeks.This was nothing like what was advertised online. Me and my child were left traumatised by this place what makes it worse was it was in the middle of nowhere it cost me £75 in taxis and an extra £250. For another hotel as it was the Manchester marathon weekend if we hadn't of paid that we would of been on the streets and we was extremely lucky to find a room somewhere else. They never offered to find a Room somewhere else or at another britannia hotel no compensation just left us in the middle of nowhere in a place we didn't know. I will post photos on trip advisor as I dont have the option here. I paid over £100 for one night if id of known the situation I wouldn't even pay £5 a night.

There was a free car park, staff were friendly and there was netflix in the room. Theres not much more i can say that i DID like unfortunately.

The room was very old fashioned, decor needed redoing as there were patches on the walls were work had been done and not painted over to match the paint, the beds were very hard, there were insects in the bathroom, there was a shower curtain which i feel like is very old fashions and unhygienic there should be shower screens in hotels, the over hotel looked like something from the 90s.
