Hyatt Place Fort Worth Stockyard

I submmitted early check in as a Hyatt Explorist at 1:30pm on check in date, We arrived late at 4:30pm and had 30 minutes before concert started at Billy Bobs around the corner. They said they had no available rooms and we would have to wait, there was numerous people just sitting in lobby probably told the same thing. I asked for the Manager and I reserved a room with 2 Queen beds and he said he had nothing. I told him I'm very loyal to Hyatt and have stayed here many of times, probably like 20+ times at this location, he came back and finally offered a handicap room that only had one bed, I had a Lady date with me as she was sleeping in the other bed. I accepted whatever I could get as we were going to be late for concert, I slept on the couch and gave the lady I brought with me the bed. This is totally unacceptable for Hyatt and this location is poorly managed! I so expect more! I've used Hyatt for over 25 years, Also have a Hyatt Vacation Club ownership and with the Marriott Drover across the street you would think Hyatt would be on their toes at this location. I was disappointed there wasn't any body lotion in the room but not a big deal

The position couldn’t have been better, right in the middle of the stockyards. Really good breakfast with plenty of choice. Huge room with 2 double beds and a massive corner sofa.

The sink was in the bedroom rather than the bathroom, we found that a bit odd

Normally would have given them 5 stars, but I was so turned off by hidden and outrageous parking fees just to stay there! I was so looking forward to this trip, and upon check-in, they informed me of a $30 / day parking fee on Sunday and $20 /day fee for Mon - Wed. This was never mentioned when I made the reservation. OK, I guess we were stuck with it at that point. Then upon reviewing my bill after I get home, I found that they charged me $30 / day, which is not what I was told at check-in. So beware of hidden fees at this hotel! As for the rest of the stay, the employees were friendly and the place is nice. But there was a big fight there in the early hours of the morning that lasted about 1.5 hours on Wed that woke us all up. Stockyards are great, but I'm really disappointed in the surprise fees, and yes - it soured my experience and memories of staying there.

Perfect location. In walking distance to everything. Staff was very nice

Wish breakfast would have gone later then 9 am. Bathroom was small. Had to walk all the way into the bathroom to close the bathroom door

Wonderful and clean. At the heart of the Stockyards. Incredible staff who are friendly and helpful. They always greeted us with a warm smile whenever they saw us!
