Hampton Inn Statesville

Staff was amazing, room was clean and well maintained, everyone very communicative and understanding as I checked in late.

Staff was friendliest and most efficient I have ever encountered.

Bed was hard and squeaky.

Check in was easy. Thank you Betty! Room was on the 4th floor which is the top level. Good for noise, but both elevators weren't working in the morning so we had to use the stairs. Needed the exercise I suppose. The room and bathroom was clean. Great water pressure and hot hot water. We did not like the bedspreads on the beds. It was really itchy. The room had a barn style door that goes over the bathroom and the closet. When moved, it made a loud screeching noise. So anyone going to the bathroom during the night made it sound like Freddy Krueger was coming down the hall. It was tough to find a happy set point for the A/C. It was either blowing ice cold or hot like a sauna. Tough to maintain 73 degrees. If we stay in the area again, we will look for another place before returning.

Staff was very helpful and courteous at checkin. Had trouble with phone and gal from the front desk came up to answer my question. Very comfortable beds and pillows, plus nice amenities in bathroom.

Breakfast was a little iffy. Waffle batter was low and had to be scooped out making kind of a mess
