The location is fantastic. Easy to get everywhere; 10-15 mins from airport, good restaurants and bars, temples, T-Nagar etc. The rooms are large, good bathrooms and service. The downstairs restaurant is good, but the rooftop isn’t anything special- especially view wise. One staff member who works outside as a security guard was super lovely - quite young and was always helping me out - ended up calling me “Didi” because he was always just there to help which I appreciated immensely.

• Staff - really difficult to work with. As a tourist, it’s generally hard in places such as Chennai to find someone who speaks Hindi or English - so a lot of questions you may have, you’ll never get an answer or an answer relevant to what you asked. Additionally, they make things harder for you as a guest. Another problem is the cultural difference - so male staff don’t understand that you don’t stand over a woman whilst she’s seated, or to remove yourself from a situation if you don’t understand what the issue is. • pricing - the price for the hotel in general was good. However, wanting to go to Pondicherry and checking on their fares for their own driver was almost laughable. It cost me £30 + £6 toll charge (3500 rupees total) to go to Pondicherry, and the same price back via UBER. The hotel wanted to charge me £140 (14,000 rupees), which is absurd - this doesn’t include the toll which can go up to £10/1000 rupees.
