Location, spacious, nice to have a kitchen

The Copley House system is ideal for travelers who want a centrally and attractive location for visiting Boston, and that the location comes equipped with a kitchenette. Having the ability to prepare a small snack or meal and refrigerate a number of perishables is helpful for travelers who tire of eating every meal out. There are many individual apartments carved out of these beautiful old buildings and we are left with an appropriate space within which to sleep, eat and bath. The pictures I viewed prior to booking were in my opinion not reflective of the very attractive and modern decor I found upon my arrival. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. All of the appliances and light fixtures were modern. Everything was clean. A final, and key component of the Copley House system is the staff. They are highly available, responsive and friendly. Communication and instructions for pending arrival and departure are frequent, comprehensive and easy to follow. I would definitely book through the Copley House organization again and would recommend to others without hesitation.

The space provided for our superior studio for three people was just enough to cover our needs. The pictures I saw prior to booking seemed to offer a larger space. I was probably the one who mistakenly expected more space than described, but it was a relief to my husband and I when our daughter was staying for only one night. Otherwise it would have been difficult to enjoy the rooms with three people. The closet was small and I did my best to stow away our luggage but only a suitcase and a backpack fit. For those of you who do not like "living out of a suitcase" there weren't any formal dressers in which to store clothes. Instead, we had a closet with open shelves. A larger closet and or a proper dresser would have been great. In the kitchen, the supplies were very limited. The mugs were clearly for people who don't drink coffee or tea in that they could hold maybe half a cup of liquid. A basic supply of cooking utensils would have been welcome like a potato peeler and a strainer. These are really minor inconveniences. The major objection I had was to the coffee appliance. The Hamilton pod brewer was absolutely the worst one I have ever used. It leaked water everywhere as it was easy to fill too much. I am not a fan of the pod approach and would have loved a cheapo Mr. Coffee machine with a filter for which I could supply my own coffee and make a full pot to share. We ran out of the pods quickly and ended up needing to wait for local cafes to open. At the cafe there we have disposable lids, cups, etc. so the cycle of avoidable waste kept going. Pods are "convenient" I guess, but they are a blight and a pain.

Location. Nice kitchenette.

Basement apartment was unexpected. Stairs were also unexpected. Found a dead bug which was either beetle or cockroach.

So central to everything, clean, comfy bed, even a kitchenette. Such a great option.
