Relais Santa Anastasia

Lovely setting, great walking, food and wine were good. The only downside was that it was a distance from anything else

The staff was amazing, the overall facility was amazing, but the rooms are a bit standard and the Decour and lighting in the restaurant left something to be desired. A few too many florals and bright lights for my taste.

Great secluded hotel, where you can relax and get away from the hustle and bustle. We cannot say enough good things about the friendly staff. We hope to visit again. The food and wine is excellent too!

This hotel should not be missed. If you are planning to visit Cefalu, it is only a few miles away and nestled in the mountains. The staff, accommodations, restaurant, pool, gym and wine tastings were the nicest of our entire trip to Sicily. It is reasonably priced for what is provided and will absolutely leave you wanting for more. I wish we could have spent all 10 days here.

Beautifully restored and maintained property. Quiet and peaceful. Though there were quite a few guests, it felt empty because of the way the rooms are distributed around the property. Definitely and older crowd though there is alot of hiking, biking and beach available. Breakfast buffet was quite nice. Staff was helpful when approached. Restaurant was competent but rather blah and the wait staff is a bit disorganized. The rooms were very nice as was the pool. It was a nice change after the hustle and bustle of Rome. If you have a car, it is a nice base for exploring.

This is an excellent hotel with good facilities and fine restaurant and house wines.

If approaching from Castelbuono ignore your satnav's first invitation to enter an unsigned myriad of forest tracks. The most excellent Relais Santa Anastasia has a signpost off the SS286, closer to the coast than it is to Castelbuono. After a couple of kilometres up a well-surfaced track, the friendly welcome followed by the comfort of your room will remind you why you prefer quality to bland commercialism. Excellent food, their own superb wines, and the right blend of correctness and personal interaction from the staff made our stay absolutely perfect. Leave your well fly-screened window open at night to enjoy a tinkling frog chorus during the hours of darkness followed by a rousing bird chorus as the sun illuminates your heaven. Regrettably we didn't use the magnificent swimming pool with its panoramic views to the coast some 600 metres below, but we intend to return for much more than the brief two days we had. Don't miss the wine tour or the sumptuous reading room.

This is an unusually breathtaking resort and working winery that is a little off the beaten path but should not be missed. The food, service and wine are indescribable. I really can't convey how magically this resort is with it's breathtaking vistas and old world mountain charm. Not that far from Palermo by car but if you come in the back way from Catania, expect to climb some steep mountain roads to reach your destination. The staff are superb.
