Residence La Reserve

Not a 4 star but very clean, functional and convenient

The location is the best thing about this hotel, close to Geneva and beyond just over the border in Switzerland and a drive from beautiful lake Annecy, Yvoire and Mont Blanc among other must see places in France. It is, however, billed as a 4 star hotel - which it doesn’t feel like. The family room allocated to us was well past it’s use by date, with a stained and noisy sofa bed and carpets. The worst part was that it was described as having a mountain view. It actually overlooked a busy roundabout and 5 storey apartment blocks. The balcony had so little privacy and was so noisy that we couldn’t use it to sit out in at the end of a busy day travelling. I asked immediately to change rooms but could not be accommodated. On the other hand, the pool area was great and the staff were lovely.

Horrible experience. Tried to confirn late arrival. No responses to emails, chats, etc. When we got there, the bathroom light does not work. The AC barely cooled the room nd made noise all night. 2 stars at best - nowhere close to 4 stars. Will not come back.

That was a really good experience. Very close to Genève most popular places. The restaurant is one of the best experience during this trip. Breakfast is normal being honest I expected more.

We only stayed one night and mainly slept. We were in the middle of a Long European road trip and wanted to see Geneva. The restaurant at the hotel was closed when we woke and were hungry. We had an “apartment” room that had one bedroom with two twin beds pushed together and a queen sized sofa bed. The carpet was stained and the fabric on the chairs that were around the table were stained. The bottom rack of the mini fridge was broken and the glasses in the kitchen cabinet looked dirty. It just felt kind of dirty. Other than that, the staff was friendly, the beds were clean and comfortable. My son utilized the fitness room but we did not get a chance to use the pool or restaurant.

The front desk staff were great! The restaurant was overpriced but no real options in the area, and they do charge 18 euros for breakfast buffet that was really basic. There is a supermarket 3 blocks away, and transportation was fine. The rooms need to be modernized and updated but mine was clean, the bathroom was fine, good shower pressure. Wifi system made me constantly relogin, and often just stopped working. This is not really a hotel, but vacation apartments.

Though a little dated it was clean and comfortable with super friendly staff and a very nice pool area. Convenient near the airport and a 10 minute walk into town to see Voltaire's house which was worth the visit. Next time I would ask for a room that is not on the street side...the traffic was not particularly bothersome but would have been nicer on the other side.

The wifi was not working in the room they've assigned me. The room was on two floors.

we spent the day here and 1 nite before flying back to USA. Awesome , loved everything, hot shower with incredible pressure, the room has a great air conditioner, but also we had 3 doors that opened to the outside , incredible cross breeze light and fresh air.the bus into town is direct and fast and $3.00 us ,catch it 1/2 block away. We explored the little village 10 min walk and had a superb dinner at the hotel . The front desk had an open room and we were able to check in at 9 AM thanks for everything
