Aquarius Vacation Club at Boqueron Beach Resort

It’s a simple resort but a great place to relax and spend time with the family. The cleanliness needs to improve a bit. Other than that a great place at a great price.

Pool was very dirty with tree leaves, dead flys and bees, bird and iguana poop. Didn't smell like clorox. Living room tv was not working. Hot tub has mold on the massage pump. Pool restaurant closed very early. Only one car per reservation even tho if you book the big room.

This was hands down one of the worst hotel experiences my family has ever had. We booked 6 rooms months in advance (4 under my name and 2 under a relative’s). When we arrived, they told us they were “overbooked” and had already given away our rooms. Out of my 4, they cancelled 3. For my family member, they cancelled both. So basically, almost everyone in our group was left without a place to stay. Since every other hotel in the area was already booked, we had no choice but to squeeze as many people as possible into the one suite they left us with. You’d think the hotel would at least try to make up for their mistake, but no. They refused to give us extra parking for the extra cars, saying it was “one car per suite.” Seriously? After cancelling nearly all of our reservations, they still made it difficult for the few of us left to park. On top of that, the front desk had no solutions besides telling us to call Expedia (which took hours to get through), and they admitted this kind of thing happens often. Completely unprofessional and irresponsible. If you value your time, money, and sanity, stay far away from this place. Between the overbooking, no parking, and complete lack of customer service, it’s not worth the headache.

Great location near several beautiful beaches

We booked this hotel 2–3 months in advance for an event in Cabo Rojo. I personally booked 5 rooms, and one of my family members booked 2 additional rooms. When we arrived to check in, the hotel told us they were overbooked and that they could do nothing about it. Out of my 5 rooms, they cancelled 4, and for my family member they cancelled both of theirs, leaving most of us without a place to stay. They asked us to call Expedia, but it was a Friday night and Expedia didn’t answer for nearly 4 hours. When we finally got through, their only “solution” was to place us at another hotel an hour away from Cabo Rojo. To make matters worse, the hotel staff admitted that this “happens all the time.” Which was unacceptable, especially since some of my family flew in from the States for this event. We were there right at check-in time (3:30–4:00 PM), yet they had already given away our rooms to others who checked in earlier. Overall, this was a horrible experience. Not only is the hotel a far drive from San Juan, but you also can’t trust that your reservation will actually be honored when you arrive. Never booking here again. Also, they never answer the phone.
