Quest Sanctuary Lakes

The apartment was nice and the bed comfortable it had a small ensuite to the bedroom and the area was great. There was a washing machine and dryer (both on the older style) but did the job needed. The kitchen was set up well with required cooking facilities and utensils. There was a small fridge and freezer which held a lot for it's size. The lounge was comfortable and there was a dining table with chairs. The front door was self-shutting (for some people this would be good). The staff were friendly and helpful, overall was valued at 8/10, 2 points taken for the below "didn't like" reasons.

There are a few things that were not ideal, the front door self closing was annoying after a day of being there, the door was heavy to open and quickly shut (slammed) shut, there were a couple of times that were close to either my fingers or foot being shut on. The ensuite to the bedroom was tiny and had the toilet in with the shower room. It felt a little claustrophobic in the bathroom and the light was not ideal for putting on make-up (i know first-world problems) but was essentially time consuming in the mornings because of this factor. The bathroom supplies like body wash, shampoo and conditioner were the tiny screw top kind which meant that both of us had to use them sparingly (I suggest bringing your own body wash, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion). The back outdoor area was an open space that meant anyone in the complex could walk past your apartment and enter if they wanted to, in fact whilst sitting outside a couple of young teenagers walked right past us and after saying to them please walk around the front, we was met with not much of a response. (I suggest locking the back screen door and closing the curtains for privacy as this was an issue). Also the back table and chairs were fine except the table was dusty and didn't get wiped from the cleaners. The second night we were there the cleaners came and did a clean of the main living areas, but did not make the bed and forgot to leave a second towel, but they returned with a towel afterwards. Also on the second night we were there, I was woken at 1am by a loud banging, I went to investigate and noticed that there was a person walking around outside. I think they had knocked on our door trying to find where were staying. Not long after that I was woken again by an alarm that continued for 15 mins and stopped and then resumed again 20 mins later for about 5 mins. This meant my second night was not restful, but I know this is not the fault of the complex.

No access to front upstairs balcony & ground floor back door was locked

Location good

Multiple strands of hair in shower. Dust all over the ironing board. Generally looks tired and a bit grubby.

Beds were comfortable and facilities were as expected.

The rooms were cold without the heat pumps turned on and there was only one blanket provided for 4 x people.

The smell in the apartment gave us headaches - it smelt like an artificial room freshener was pumped out constantly. The staff advised that each apartment was only sprayed with a room freshener after the apartment was cleaned. The smell must be embedded in the carpets, furniture, walls, etc. because I would wake up at night and all I could smell was the artificial room freshener. As our daughter lives in Sanctuary Lakes, we plan to visit often, but will only book the apartments again if we are guaranteed no room freshener has been used for several months prior as it seems to embed itself into everything - maybe keeping several apartments áir freshener free will be a good idea.

The rooms were superb, very clean, spacious and the whole apartment was so cosy.

Nothing at all it exceeded my expectations
