Rodeway Inn & Suites Winter Haven Chain Of Lakes

This hotel is rough to say the least. I left after two hours. I was only there that long, as I was trying to make other arrangements. Upon first viewing, the room looked old but they have put in newer carpeting and paint. The bathroom not the cleanest. When checking the bed, I found a 20+ year old cheapo mattress pad that was stained and dirty and so gross. The sheets had small holes in them. There was an old sofa, no table or chair to sit on. So I made other arrangements for nights 2-6. I thought I could tough it out that first night after flying for over twelve hours, then driving 1.5 hours to get to WinterHaven. I never took a shower or even washed my hands to clean up, as I noticed the bathroom could be seen from the open sides of the vertical blinds over a ground level very unsecure-looking window! I pulled back the sheets on the other side of the queen bed to check them, and they were dirty! At that point I said 'enough', not staying here ONE NIGHT!! I called another place nearby, as I had originally wanted to book with them, to see if they might have one room. They asked where I was coming from, as I told them I was not happy with my hotel. I told them the Rodeway, and they flipped, almost did not let me book with them that night, due to bedbugs that other hotels had gotten after Rodeway customers! I also was traveling alone, and noticed several young men who stared, in the parking lot hanging out. The clerk told me they are working people, implying they live there.

The bathroom was so nasty, everything had a terrible smell, we needed to buy flip flop and towels to take a bath, new sheets and blank to sleep. Thanks God it was only a night.

The hotel is very nice but on saturday there was no room service. That's the only problem i had with it.

clean but to old. doors, furniture, bathrooms in terrible condition!!!! poor complementary breakfast

The sheets were dirty and had stains on them as well as the dishes provided. Atleast legoland was only a 5 min drive away, but will def stay in something much nicer next time.

Did not feel comfortable in the room. It was smelly and no one ever comes to fix the bed. The mattress felt like it had a dent in it, as tho it was over worn. I doubt if they cleaned before I came in, there was an old razor left in the bathroom

Great and affortable place. The management are very nice.

The room was better than expected for the area. Only thing is that we didn't have a TV in the suite only in the living room area. We went to Legoland and its only a short drive from the hotel. The area itself is old but the room was perfect for our trip. There is an IHOP connected to the hotel so it is perfect. Would stay again on our next visit to Legoland.

This hotel needs to be remodeling pretty soon. Smell a little weird and the bathroom was not nice. But I have to speak about the recepcionist, I knew 2 people and there were nice to me.

Convenient location. Large rooms with all the amenities. Friendly staff.
