Aquarius Vacation Club at Dorado del Mar

We had a very disappointing stay at Aquarius Vacation Club Dorado del Mar. Our room (2466) had humidity damage, a leaking toilet, and mold inside the AC unit. The sheets and pillows smelled bad, and my wife developed a skin reaction from the poor air quality, forcing us to leave early. The hallways and common areas also showed serious maintenance issues with water leaks, rust, and strong humidity odors. No supervisor was available, and no help was offered. Unsafe, unsanitary, and not worth the cost.We leave ne day earlier no refund

Lo recomiendo al 100% El staff fue muy amable, el hotel cuenta con 3 piscinas familiares y 1 gran piscina para niños. Las habitaciones muy limpias y todos los días arreglaban las sábanas, botaban la basura, proveían harina de café, creamer y azúcar. Nos encantó el servicio, lo limpio y la conveniencia.

The bed were not that soft, the pool bar closed too early. Other than that it was a really nice location.

The rooms never got cleaned. There’s no restaurants except in the adjacent property. Very outdated.

This place is in desperate need of repairs. I had to have my first assigned suite changed due to mold, rotting, rust, and curtains not fully closing. I was HORRIFIED in that first room. I didn't even want to take off my back pack or put anything down. Thankfully I was switched, but then the view was lacking... The furniture seems like it's from the 80's, but I managed since I couldn't get a refund, because I 100% would have gotten a refund if I could.

The room had a very strong odor. Smelled like mildew and it smelled even worse if we turned the AC off. We had to leave the AC on very low to help with the smell so we were freezing and the blankets were very thin. The vents in the room were very dusty, like they hadn’t been cleaned in months. When I mentioned it to the staff they said they would let the cleaning staff know. I’m sure they are well aware of the smell in the room. The smell was so bad that our clothes smelled liked it. One night my husband and daughter were up coughing most of the night probably due to the smell. After a couple days of staying there and it still being the same and not being offered to switch rooms we decided to check out two days earlier and go somewhere else. And we were not refunded for the days we left early due to the room conditions. It seems like the hotel is under construction and there are newer rooms and older rooms. I believe we got stuck in the old stinky rooms.
