Hampton Inn Rutland/Killington

The newly removed rooms are beautiful.

Hotel is being remodeled and the main floor and check-in area was a mess.

Friendly service

The property was what I normally expect at Hampton Inn & Suites. The problem was that they are currently undergoing renovations and they had to move us to another room because the heat did not work. The new room was fine and the breakfast was excellent and the staff was professional and accommodating.

The staff seemed not to be trained and acted and were dressed unprofessionally. The air conditioner was extremely loud. Staff simply said that nothing could be done about it.

Clean up > I found a bug on my bed. Service > Terrible front desk receptionist, that was never in the front desk. Kept me waiting 30min in the check in (and it was almost 6pm), for a poor first floor room after communicating through yelling with contractors in the corridor to check if the room was ready or not. When my wifi did not work, I discovered that it was because she put my last name wrong, so that my IHG benefit would not work. When I went to talk to her (and she was not in the front desk, but sitting in the lounge chatting with someone else) she did not even stood up, but asked me my cell phone and said she would put a complimentary wifi code for me, as it was a big favor. Maintenance > my bathroom had ceiling replacement not yet painted and the whole room very outdated.
