Campanile Epernay Dizy

We have stayed here many times and it is a brilliant place to stay for visiting local areas.

Had to ask to move rooms as the smell was so bad in one room. We smelt smoke, may be wrong as the place is being renovated. It will be superb when finished. So much building work going on at present.

Body told us about the building works which started at 6.30am. The surround is a building site.

We should have been told that the whole site was a building site - not just the hotel itself being refurbished but there was a massive project building a new boulangerie/patisserie/access road on the same piece of land. Builders vans took up all the parking spaces, including on the access road and dust from building works covered all the staircases and access ways to the rooms. Some dust had infiltrated inside. Our room was obviously going to be refurbished soon because there were loose wires taped up everywhere. At least the AC worked since it was very hot - so hot in fact that the outside door was too hot to touch. The builders didn't finish working until 21.30 hrs and started again moving heavy machinery at 06.00 hrs the following morning. The property also advertised that they had a restaurant but when we arrived we were told that we could order food but would have to take it to our room. We then had to find somewhere to eat. Breakfast was fine except for staff members using some of the tables to do their ironing. We do have photo and video evidence and feel that we are entitled to some compensation.

Chambre et literie : bien . Petit déjeuner : bien. Ensemble hôtelier très calme. Accueil poli et courtois , à l'écoute du client et professionnalisme du personnel .
