MacArthur Chambers

The location was fantastic. The rooms were spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable.

We checked out on Tuesday 16th June 2026. The receptionist at the desk (black hair) was not helpful. She insisted on taking back one of our two keys. We then had to get our car from the basement car park. When our remaining key would not let us out it was clear that she had cancelled our keys. We used the intercom and were told we would have to go back up and report it. Eventually someone with a key kindly let us out. The receptionist was fairly offhand to speak with. Her manner could be improved.

Everything was a breeze. We arrived on the weekend and the front desk wasn't staffed but the lovely gentleman who was managing the Museum visits was so helpful. The next day we needed to update our access cards which was simple and the staff were lovely.

One of the elevators was a bit stinky like the carpet was wet. That is about all I could find to answer this question.

Well located

The room was unclean, particularly the bathroom. Quite dusty which was problematic for my wife. The car park entry process was terrible.

Very central, lots of options for coffee, food and drink. Beautiful building full of history. Unfortunately the facilities were closed due to construction but this was mentioned on the booking.

There were some issues with the shower in each ensuite. Reported to receptionist.
