Bahia Principe Grand El Portillo - All Inclusive

We've visited this hotel a few times, mostly because we like the surrounding area of Las Terrenas and its pretty well the only all inclusive hotel in the area. On this visit the food was slightly above average. The room had issues with the hot water and air conditioning control and the fridge leaking water on the floor which we just put up with. At least the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. There were a few bar tenders that were cold, but the majority were friendly. We found around half the staff serving in the dining room weren't very friendly and got in little arguments. If there were two things this hotel needed to improve, it would be conducting a calendar fixed scheduled maintenance in each and every room to make sure everything works right and old and broken items are replaced. The second would be to have bar and dining room staff that are consistently friendly.

Property arrangement was unique and excellent. Food was exceptional. Staff was great.

Outside areas was great. Great bar and entertainment, beach was nice. Did not like the limited dining options and can use some updating. Not much in the area to do

Un reconocimiento especial a Naty Menéndez la chica de servicio en el restaurant que usa los lentes de color rojo, un servicio personalizados y agradable. de igual forma a José en el área de recepción, es muy chistoso. La variedad y la calidad de la comida en todos los restaurantes

Favor de considerar la instalación de agua caliente utilizando paneles solares, es un área de mucha sombra y el agua esta muy fría. También había una persona fumando marihuana en el área del jacuzzy, la misma se marchó cuando llegamos, de igual forma cuando estábamos en la habitación villa 5202 al abrir la ventana del balcón nos llegaba el olor de la marihuana de habitaciones cercanas

The Hotel was worth the price, but the location was isolated, and the food and drink were good

I like the beach. The food is good. Staff is fun.
