Residence Inn by Marriott Sacramento Downtown at Capitol Park

We were here for a family wedding. although we arrived earlier than check-in time a very helpful receptionist Kammie managed to get us rooms as soon as available. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable and kitchen had full size fridge which was very useful for us. Both pool and gym were small but well-maintained. We had various needs during the stay and found all of the staff extremely friendly and helpful. I would here also like to mention Aramm for friendliness and efficiency. Breakfast had large variety including many healthy options and the staff managed the large crowds well.

I liked how friendly the staff was and it was so easy to check in and out the breakfast selection was fantastic and I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel five stars all around🙂.

Stay here for meetings in Sacramento. I like the hotel- modern, clean and comfortable at a good price. Offers free breakfast but have not tried it. They have rooms with mini kitchens that are great.

What I Liked: Clean & well maintained Nice location Convenient parking for reasonable fee. Nice size room Above average freshness of eggs at breakfast. (The bar is low for included breakfast hotels.) stayed here for a 3 night stay with a friend in a 2 bedroom room with a lovely living room, and kitchenette. But that "kitchenette" was so much larger than others that have been provided by other places! Pots, pans, dishes, glassware, silverware, apartment sized refrigerator, small toaster, microwave, and small dishwasher. And each morning we could enjoy a complimentary and very generous continental breakfast as well. So many goodies! Hot and cold. And the beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable. My husband and I have a great bed and pillows at our home, but this bed was great!! My only disappointment was that no one from housekeeping ever cleaned our room. No one ever emptied any of the trashcans. The sign in our room asked us to please re-use our towels to save waste water on laundry by hanging our towels, etc. One day my roommate experimented and left one of her towels on the bathroom floor. And that is where we found them when we returned that evening. We also left no sign on the outside door to notify housekeeping.

The property was clean and the staff were excellent! Pool and gym were clean. During our stay, there was a conference where their attendees took over the entire lobby because the conference room entrance was next to the Lobby entrance. It was hard and uncomfortable to get through the constant groups to exit. Also, for the high price $400+ a night, there is no valet and parking is a chore to get through the driveway and then to and from the garage. Also, there is no true restaurant, and the breakfast was minimal pickings. For the price per night, it lacked these corresponding amenities.

We visited Sacramento for a large convention at the Golden 1 center. All of the staff at the Residence Inn were so welcoming and accommodating. We would definitely stay there again.
