Residence Inn DFW Airport North/Grapevine

We were greeted upon arrival by Yolanda. At the request of our daughter in law Yolanda was able to move our rooms on the same floor as our relatives staying there also. The shuttle service was a great asset. The breakfast Sunday morning was so good, clean area, plenty of choices, well stocked and the person serving that area made sure everyone had what they needed.

Great amenities! Wonderful staff, especially Yolanda at the front desk she is amazing and welcoming! Our little family christmas getaway was excellent because this hotel is in a very convinient location. All the fun activies like ICE, Historic Downtown, Legoland etc, and they have a shuttle that can take you these places as long as they are in a 5 mile radius. We will definitely be staying again.

The room was clean, comfortable and close access to DFW airport. Limo service to DFW was a plus and the restaurant in the hotel served excellent meals.

I’ll start by sharing that I am a business traveler that stays about 75 to 90 days a year in Marriott hotels. On my trip this week, I first checked into a room that smelled like greasy food and I’m pretty tolerant of these things, but it was so overwhelming that I had to ask for another room. The front desk was accommodating and got me in a second room but the AC did not work and I sweat uncomfortably throughout the night due to the lack of cooling. When I checked out about four hours later, I got an updated folio stating a $250 charge for smoking. I’ve never smoked in my life and it’s absolutely ridiculous that I’m being charged for something that I did not do. Perhaps it was a housekeeper that was smoking during a break and smelled up the room, but I had absolutely no responsibility for any smell in my room of smoke and I called and asked to speak with management. I was told that I’d get a call back a half hour later. About 50 minutes later I had not received a phone call so I called back and the manager had left for the day and had not called me, so I asked to have access the voicemail which went to the general manager inbox, which was full. When I called back, there was no one I could speak with to get this addressed. It’s incredibly frustrating to have to deal with this and not have any empathy for a situation that I did not cause. How do I mitigate this? Ask them to check my room at checkout? This is absurd.

The customer service and hospitality from the employees really stood out to me. This hotel was also very clean, quiet, and in a convent location near the airport. I would definitely stay here again.
