"more good than not"

8.0

Room 331 needs a renovation. Shower head inadequate for small space provided and this particular room had banging in ceiling throughout evening, and not enough power outlets to recharge cell phones etc. You can get a power cord sent up, so not a big issue. Room was otherwise fine, lots of room to move around and mattress was great, firm but not too much. Mineral pool is wonderful, all 3 restaurants served well prepared food, especially poolside restaurant was great. Front desk was understaffed. Overall, 4 out of 5, very glad we stayed there.

"Well worth the trip!"

8.0

The staff were all friendly and courteous. Anything thing to help. Except reserving a handicapped parking spot. The first man I spoke with, at the desk, contradicted the lady on the phone, a week prior. The 2nd lady contradicted him and then herself. The rest of the visit was wonderful. A candle for my birthday really elevated my mood. There weren't any towels for the pool at the hotel door, but there were by the water station. The toilet paper is awful. Thin and scratchy, it is not what you would expect from a "Luxury" or Spa hotel. The shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand soap were all excellent, exactly as you would expect. The beds were completely comfortable, the pillows excellent and the blankets smooth and soft. An extra blanket might be nice. The TV was perfect for the room, as was the microwave. The fridge could use a freezer, but still very useful. The Keurig machine worked well and the selection of pods was perfect. Larger glasses would be nice, but having 4 for 2 people worked too. Having to get ice from a machine a floor down was a bit of an inconvenience but, not terrible. The mineral spa was fantastic. Perfect, absolutely what I needed. All in all, well worth the trip!

"Winter Getaway"

8.0

We go to Temple Gardens annually for a bit of a winter get away. The outdoor pool in the winter, at night, is fantastic. The hotel itself is comfortable and more than adequate. if there is one thing missing from the rooms its drying racks for wet swim gear. Heated racks would be great!

"Not impressed"

2.0

We stayed in a mineral Jacuzzi suite. The room was very dated with peeling furniture, uncomfortable sagging king bed, lumpy pillows. The door to the fridge was off the hinges, the desk chair torn and a disgrace. not sure exactly what was hanging from the ceiling in the bathroom? Although the Jacuzzi tub was cracked in places, at least it worked. It is difficult to get in if you’re short like me since there is no step or bar to hold onto. We brought these matters to the attention of the front desk since we didn’t want to get charged for any damages but they didn’t really seem to care as no empathy or apology. Dining room is closed for lunch. Definitely not worth the price we paid.

"Could be better, has been better"

4.0

The exhaust fan in our bathroom did not work Beds were squeaky, uncomfortable and pillows extremely uncomfortable. We went to Winners and bought new pillows after the first night of poor sleep because at least we got to take them home instead of paying an upgrade price for more comfortable ones at your hotel. The sink in the bathroom was cracked A light bulb in the bathroom was burnt out The carpet in the room had stains There were no info pamphlets or menus or phone directory or anything in the hotel room of the sort Our room was prepaid and only added on parking for the 3 nights, at checkout you tried to charge me more at different rate for our room. The front desk man was very good in dealing with that once I questioned him but I shouldn’t have had to. Had I not been paying attention my credit card would have been charged more again. We have stayed here years ago before for a spa trip and had similar expectations coming back, we have to say our expectations were not met and we won’t be returning. I know we did not pay extra for a “newly renovated” room but for the prices you charge it should have at least been comfortable with all things working properly. The mineral waters are very nice and warm but the tile and grout are falling apart, especially outside. My friend cut her foot on the pool deck (?shard of tile or rock?) inside when we got out of the waters and had to get the lifeguard assistance for a bandaid and clean up the blood on the deck as we didn’t want to use your towels. The spa has a beautiful waiting lounge and the treatments were good but again for the prices the spa charged it should have been excellent. It was not. We will not go back there for treatments either. We have had better treatments for lower prices elsewhere. The esthetician doing a treatment should not have long nails or gel nails that harbour bacteria and that you can feel scratching instead of rubbing during “massage” or facial. 2 out of 3 of mine did. My RMT was excellent in skill although he could have made the room and experience much more comfortable. The room was cold and bright with a big window and the bed was cold with no warmed blankets or towels, I had to ask for another pillow to be more comfortable as he did not question my comfort level at all. I left there and went into the steam room to warm up. In my experience a massage leaves you warm and completely relaxed not cold and shivering.

"Just ok. Not extraordinary"

6.0

I would say this hotel is just OK. Definitely not worth the luxury price tag of the per night stay, especially if you’ve travelled and stayed in many hotels with comparable prices. I hear they are renovating rooms, I staying in the 500’s, it’s ok but outdated and not modern in style in any way. Just a large room but looks old. Pack your own toiletries because you’re lucky if you get one hair wash from the shampoo and the lotion smells old. Given that this place is a mineral spa, I assumed the whole place would be a vibe and carry into the rooms like aromatherapy soaps and lotion - not the case. So you could essentially get a Nordic spa experience for the same price and that’s a vibe worth experiencing- just assumed this would be the same thing for the almost $300 a night. I’d say the experience would be $175 at best for a regular king room. In the future we will just come for the pool. It’s clean and comfortable just not worth $300 a night
