Wonder View Inn - Bar Harbor Collection

Breakfast was great , staff was friendly and view was amazing

The bathroom was extremely small, that was a disappointment. The water handle in the shower was very low . Not something I’ve experienced before in a hotel . No fan in the bathroom and not a big enough window to get air flow . That was my biggest disappointment.

Location and value spot on. Loved being within walking distance of Bar Harbor, and given the other rates-to-value we were considering, we are so glad we chose Wonder View Inn. It was quiet, clean and comfortable and maybe a 10-minute walk into Bar Harbor so you don’t have to worry about finding parking in the crowded harbor. The staff was gracious to let us leave our car parked with them when we checked out so we could easily walk into town to collect our half day bike rental in town and explore Acadia’s carriage roads, which turned out to be one of our favorite days of our New England roadtrip. Also loved the coziness of the lobby area, grabbing a hot chocolate and listening to the piano playing.

Slightly dated and old smell inside but everything else about the place is so great we didn’t even notice.

The room was very clean and size of the room was large and comfortable. The heater worked well and the water was hot and had good water pressure.

You could not see anything outside on the deck due to the trees. It was a little difficult knowing where to check in versus having someone at the Wonder View Inn Office to check you in. Using the pool facilities at the other facility was a little bit of a hastle so we did not use the pool or facilities.

The location was perfect. We could walk into town with ease. The outdoor pool was warm (great for Maine) and the indoor pool with hot tub was perfect after our hikes. We were not far from the mountain, either

I loved the view from the balcony. I liked the size of the room, set up, and comfort or the bed. If needed, there was a laundry facility close to the building.

My only issue is super trivial. I did not like the size of the vanity. However, there was a shelf above that was helpful.
