Etna Hotel

A very nice hotel just off a main road in Giarre. I was visiting cousins in the area and this hotel was very convenient for them to meet me. A very beautiful restoration of an old farmhouse. Great views of Etna in the distance. The grounds are very park-like and there is plenty of free parking. The dinner restaurant on the hotel property was great. Although there was an additional charge, breakfast was very good and well worth it.

Everything was good. The wifi was OK but the signal was a little weak by the small desk. It was an old building with heavy stone walls so a bit expected that wifi would not be perfect everywhere.

Hidden gem in the town

Very nice location with direct view to Etna. Size of the room was okay. Staff was super friendly and the food was incredible.

The bathroom seemed kinda old, would need some renovation.

My family and I love the Etna hotel and this was our second visit in three years. The customer service is excellent, the facilities perfect for our requirements and the onsite restaurant an excellent choice if you don't fancy venturing offsite. We were even offered a transfer to a larger room part way through our stay as the lady manageress felt that we would be more comfortable there. It's a great place at a very reasonable price. Cossy

Breakfast was good overall, although there could have been some more hot foods. The homemade yoghurt was really good as were the croissants. We especially liked the help we got from the very friendly staff both before and during our stay. They speak English quite well and that was another bonus. The hotel is comprised of a very old historic and pleasant building and all rooms have their separate entrances onto the common areas.

The area of Giarre outside the hotel wasn't inviting at all and we didn't bother going out for a walk through the town. It's better to go there by car.
