Villa Mediterranea

We were quite happy with our stay at the Villa Mediterreanea. The gardens are lovely, the pool a delight, and the rooms were quite nice. In general the staff was very pleasant, in particular the waiter at breakfast and in the restaurant. I found there was always a bit of a musty smell in our room, but I know this is hard to avoid on the main floor by the sea, though better ventilation might help. In my case, I found the shower was hard to stand in because of small ridges in the shower floor, as I have very sensitive feet and knee and ankle issues at the moment. Some type of bath mat or even a small seat to sit on could have helped. Otherwise the shower was lovely.

Good friendly hotel, helpful staff, reasonable restaurant, well located for beach and for sight seeing in SE Sicily including Etna.

Nice hotel in a small seaside town, with a small outdoor (unheated) pool and easy access to a beach. Also a good base for a number of half day/day trips (Noto, Ispica, Syracuse).

Hotel en bord de mer, mais plage très sale. Bon emplacement pour rayonner dans la Sicile baroque. Accueil chaleureux et efficace.

We stayed in this hotel for two weeks, touring from here to places in the area like Noto, Etna, Toarmina, Enna, Regusa, Modica etc. and had just a brilliant time. The location is like a green oasis with a lovely pool, and relaxing environment. The staff were so so friendly and always very helpful and made our time there very special. I don't think you could choose a better place to stay in the area from what we saw. The buffet style breakfast had plenty of variety and the location was simply beautiful and very well maintained. The lovely garden leads down to an exit which gives you direct assess to the beach, and the hotel had sunbeds and umbrellas that you use on the beach on request. We alternated between a day away touring and then a day of rest around the hotel or beach, and it was a perfect base for this. The hotel gives complimentary WiFi although this is only available in the reception area, but does however stretch to the sun loungers, so was very useful. The hotel does offer an evening meal which if you are budgeting would cost for 2 approx 70-90 euros 2012 with wine, but we found a local restaurant called Scirocco linked to the hotel Noto Marina round the corner that did local wine for 5 euros (.5ltr# - stick to white I would, salads from 4 euros #very good portions) and pizzas from 5 euros both of which were excellent; there were also a couple of local markets where you could sample local food. All in all HIGHLY recommended and you won't regret booking this hotel!

La stanza aveva la tenda e la biancheria umide, copriletto sporco, doccia piccolissima adatta a persone taglia 42 e con la porta difettosa, il letto con due doghe mancanti, la finestra si apriva su un prato incolto e luogo di ricovero di attrezzi da giardino, la stanza non invitava a lasciare oggetti personali durante l’assenza, poiché la porta finestra non dava alcun tipo di garanzia . Il prezzo pagato non corrisponde assolutamente alla categoria indicata nella descrizione dell’hotel ma molto inferiore.

Frühstücksterasse und Gartenanlage sind sehr ansprechend. Zimmer sind einfach eigerichtet, reicht aber völlig aus. Einziges Problem: sehr hellhörig - durch die Tür und die Zimmerdecke ist man life dabei - was sich am Gang abspielt oder ob im ersten Stock jemand auf und ab geht oder gar einen Stuhl quietschend und schabend verschiebt. Mein Tip:Zimmer im ersten Stock verlangen.

Het hotel is gelegen aan het strand, zo'n 10 km vanaf het centrum van Noto. De buurt en omgeving van het hotel is armoedig en rommelig. Het hotel is echter prima en heeft kleine eigen parkeergelegenheid. De service en bediening is heel vriendelijk en het ontbijt zeer uitgebreid en luxe. De hotelkamer is netjes en sfeervol ingericht. De nabij gelegen pizzeria Scirocco aan de boulevard is ook een aanrader.

We arrived at this hotel with no expextations. But we were surprised by its charme and friendly an very helpfull oweners. The rooms are clean, the pool was already filled with water, wich was a nice surprise. The breakfast buffet is perfect, enough choice! Fresh made cappucino or italian coffe are served by a friendly staff member. The hotel is situated near the beach (just cross the street). You can take a beach chair form te hotel with you to enjoy a nice day at the sea. Noto is just a 5 to 10 minute drive away for a good dinner and "passegiata". We have enjoyed our stay here. summery: relaxed, friendly, perfect situated...
