Hôtel Première Classe Le Mans Ouest Université

A great hotel for the price on a good location and added bonus of free WiFi. The only problem I had was for the check-out as the reception is not open 24 hours and a drop-box for the keys is not provided which makes very hard for a early check-out if needed.

Room was clean, roomier than other Première Classe hotels, friendly staff, good value breakfast, secure car park (which was just what I needed when touring on my motorbike). Across the road from a tram stop, with frequent easy access to Le Mans. Satnav struggled to find the hotel but there are yellow signs on the roundabout which will lead straight to it. I have stayed here before and would stay here again.

The room was very good for an overnight stay, We couldn't fault the room. May i say that you could improve the stay by providing tea and coffee making facilities. Thank you Patrick.

Not much to add - it was basic clean accomodation, with a few restaurants and bars nearby

This is the third time we have stayed here while our son is at the university in Le Mans which you can see from the hotel. The rooms are basic but comfortable. The only negative is that we could not check in until 1700.

Price very good, breakfast was good and fairly priced. Only problem the bathroom had a horrible smell.

Always a warm welcome here, rooms bright and airy and always nice and clean.

Just a overnighter from a long drive. The hotel was easy to find and handy if you were in Le Man's for a longer period. The lady at the reception was fantastic! She ignored my pathetic French and spoke excellent English to me. She even got me some hot water for my toddler's milk. Unfortunately the hotel was a little tired and looked as though a complete refit was needed. We needed somewhere to rest and it served it's purpose.

On our first visit on 26th August, the door was difficult to gain access to and at first we could not make the card key work for us. A helpful neighbouring French visitor also tried without success. I informed the desk and they went and reported back that it was perfectly all right, bit required considerable force to wrench the handle down. On entering we could not turn on the lights or power. When I went to the desk the second time I was told that you had to insert the card key into a wall box to make the electricity function. When I remarked that nobody had explained the system to me, I was met with a Gallic shrug. On the second visit on 2nd-3rd.September, the electric socket was stuck to the wall with sticky tape, there was no soap in the dispenser which was broken and there was a two hour power cut that also cut out the television. When I informed the desk in the morning again I was given no apology and given the impression that this was par for the course. All in all, not a pleasant experience. I would not wish to spend another night in this hotel. .
