Hotel Campanile Orleans Ouest - La Chapelle St Mesmin

Everything you need for a short stay with added bonus of available meal, tasty and simple. Thank goodness the bed was comfortable. Avoid Orleans if it's been raining as when it is flooded it is a nightmare to get anywhere and the Toll roads are shut!! Sadly I could not go and see Orleans but maybe next time when it's dry.

Great hotel in exceptionally convenient position. Only fault was the very poor WiFi.

okay budget accommodation. It's an old motel that's had a make over in an attempt to make it boutique. Be warned it's difficult to find if one doesn't have Sat Nav.

Arrangements good for us to arrive late i.e 1am

We were greeted by being told there was no chef tonight (Sunday) and we stay at Campaniles because of the good value restaurants. There were cold dishes. We ate at the local Poive Rouge - don't go there - awful meal!

An overnight stop, returning to UK from S France. The hotel has clearly been renovated and is a clean, tidy and pleasant one. The Staff (a single Manager) was friendly and efficient. The hotel has a pleasant restaurant and breakfast was excellent. However ... the room we stayed in had been exposed to the sun all day and on entering was in the low 30C. The room had but one opening window so that there is no through draught and such breeze as was present failed to enter the room. The Manager apologised for no air-conditioning but appeared to miss the point that the addition of a simple fan would have solved the problem; as it was we spent the night in what I can only describe as the most expensive sauna I have ever visited! Do not visit this hotel in the height of summer unless you can ensure that you take a room on the shaded side!

Good location at low cost and friendly staff.

It is difficult to provide a full review because unfortunately the hotel had recently had a fire in the dining room, and repairs were being carried out at the time of both our visits on March 31 and April 21, so the dining room was not functioning, though breakfast was still available in the hotel. The rooms have been recently decorated and refurbished in a very attractive way.

This hotel will be nice when it is ready for occupation but is in the process of a major refurbishment and redecoration, many of the rooms are closed and empty, those that were available smelt of toxic paint fumes as had been repainted during the last few days. We tried several rooms and one of the rooms 007 did not even exist, then asked for a refund which could not be given, we eventually settled for a ground floor room that had been the first to be repainted. It still smelt strongly of fumes, we had to turn off heating and leave window open, both of us were affected by it in the morning. Although you said it had a restaurant, it did not have at present as that was closed also for redecoration. I am surprised you booked us into this hotel and at present it was not worth the money paid. Although will be in time.I feel some financial compensation should be paid.

Currently being refurbished so strong smell of paint. Stairs to upper rooms, circular, steep and possibly dangerous if wet. Regimented ordering of food for room service, could not order before 7:00pm, food or drinks not available before 7:00pm. Not much alternative could be found in the neighbouring area, nearest restaurant would not take dogs,
