Residence Inn by Marriott Salisbury

We had a very nice stay in Salisbury. We stayed for one night and it was a weekend. The hotel was quiet, but both Tamiya and Tanisha made us feel at home. They were so welcoming when we first arrived and so accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was up to our liking. They are the nicest people. Thank you so much for making our stay extra special.

Please do not waste your time or money at this property. I was here for business, the room was dirty stains on carpet, hair in the bathroom. I didn’t have a whole lot of options so I cleaned the kitchen, bathroom and all surfaces myself. My sheets weren’t changed. I had to request them to be changed not to mention the fact that there were people living in the hotel in the entire hotel smells of weed. If people want to smoke pot, thats their choice but have some respect for people around you. My first five minutes consisted of someone banging on my door trying to get in because they stated it was their room. I had to call the front desk to have this person taken away. There are people living at the property who have children running around. To be honest, I feel sorry for those children that have to live in a hotel due to whatever circumstances that the adult in charge got them in to. Be aware that you will likely run into this situation. The cleanliness is probably the worst I’ve seen of any Marriott chain. The staff was very polite however, whatever management company owns this property needs to do a complete overhaul and if you are allowing individuals to live at your hotel, you probably should tell them to lay off the weed. I need to go back to this area once a quarter for work and this is one I will never visit again! And if you’re a titanium elite - status does not matter.

Location was good. Easily accessible to good restaurants in area.

Its a bit dated the room outlets were very loose and wouldn't allow device charging. This was quite annoying and could be easily fixed!

The rooms had portable AC’s and the one in the bedroom leaked and the floor was soaked. We didn’t notice this until we went to bed, so changing rooms would have been a real pain.

I wish the pool and jacuzzi was cleaned properly so I could use it.

Liked the kitchen and sitting areas. Room darkening curtains didn't close well and noisy AC unit was right by the bed in a closet and came off and on all night. Terrible night sleep. Breakfast was lousy.
