Nice place but a bit old, It is my fifth time in Ubud, I tried many hotel here...This was the first time a paid that kind of money for a room . This is a nice hotel, don't get me wrong but old...I had a lot of rain for 2 days and the roof was leaking. US channels on TV not working, Gecko hiding in the straw roof...waking me up in the night. 20 minutes walk from anything in Ubud. Breakfast is average, not much choice. I've been to better hotel around Ubud for less money.Bottom line, if you're looking for a spiritual retreat away from the rest of the planet, that's where you want to go :)

Very nice old hotel with small number of rooms but with large variety of comfort. Due to a booking problem (between Hotel.com and the resort) we received too small room for our family of four (2+2). The Manager has quickly sorted the issue to our complete satisfaction. Clean hotel, with very good service, and good restaurant (there is a large variety of other restaurants in Ubud and you don’t need to dine always in the hotel), two pools allowing for some privacy and above all marvellous views which are priceless. Due to the age of this facility there are some maintenance issues but the staff is addressing them promptly. We certainly will go back there again.

Pro's The view is spectacular as previous reviews have stated and diffidently a good place relax. The staff were courteous and service was good. The food is not good at all in comparison to other places I have stayed at in Ubud that have lower ratings. Con's The toilet in our room was leaking and they did not fix it properly so it still leaked. The linens and nets could use some sprucing up as they are starting to grey which gives the impression that it is not well maintained or not clean. Drivers at the hotel are charging more than they should be, so you are at a their mercy unless you want to leave the grounds and walk until you find a taxi. Overall it was a nice stay.

These people were all so friendly, we loved it!!

Very helpful and pleasant staff, a beautiful garden setting, and 2 swimming pools. $4-5 taxi ride to Ubud, worth the relative isolation!

Hotel was good, service was excellent and the scenery was fabulous. However, the location is a bit far from Ubud centre (taxis were around IDR 30-50,000). Pool was good. Breakfast was ok. Not recommended for disabled customers as lots of steps to the rooms.

Stunning location and views over the Ayung river. The restaurant provides equally good views while you enjoy your breakfast. However, the hotel is 3-4 miles from Ubud town centre and it's probably at least 40 minutes walk. The hotel provides a complementary bus twice a day, but if you want to go at a different time (or come back) you have to hire a taxi (which reception will arrange for you). Reception was very helpful. Any tours you have arranged will pick up and drop off direct at the hotel which was convenient.
