Gilmer Apartment Hotel

Well sized room on the ground floor with sitting areas and a little kitchen with stovetop, Espresso coffee machine, microwave and fridge. A bonus was a combined washing machine-dryer. Parking right outside the hotel and the ability to charge our EV. It's a short walk down Plimmer Steps to Lambton Quay and very close to the motorway so the location is great. You're in a quiet part of Wellington yet close to the action.

We didn't realise when booking carparking that we needed to book the one and only EV park so suggest other EV owners are aware.

It was very easy to get to the CBD! Just 3-5 mins walk from the hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly also. Would definitely stay here again!

Shower was too low, bathroom tap was hard to turn on and off. Housekeeping didn’t clean properly. Old and tired. Shower tray was on a slope. Caulking needed replacing.

Fantastic location, close to the shopping precinct and a 2-minute walk to Boulcott St Bistro. Quiet, tastefully-decorated room with every amenity needed. We loved the Nespresso machine with milk frother! Complimentary access to the nearby gym/sauna was very appealing but we didn’t get a chance to use it. The reception staff are friendly and informative. They gave us a leaflet with clear instructions for using the shortcut to Lambton Quay or The Terrace. Parking is an added cost but is in a secure parking building. The Gilmer will be our accommodation of choice for future stays in Wellington.

Close to ferry terminal. Easy walking distance to shops and restaurants.

I stay there quite often. It's very central. Everything is very easy. Clean, nice staff and nice rooms.
