Comfort Inn & Suites Meriden East

Hotel room was clean, lobby was clean, the hotel smelled clean almost all the time, they did a good job trying to keep up with the smoking that was occuring. Maintenance was fantastic with the air-conditioning when it went out in our room, they didn't have a room available for us to move to so maintenence switched the unit out right then. Every staff member was kind and friendly. The location was fantastic, right off the highway, places to eat nearby and stores nearby.

The reasons this isn't a 10/10 is the highway is very loud and made it hard to sleep (I understand they cannot control that). And there was definitely smoking (of a variety of things) that was occurring during any times.

The area not bad, you have stores all around. They had our room ready to go early for us to go in. Staff very pleasant.

The scrambled eggs and sausage were cold

Bed was comfortable. Plain eggs at breakfast and the lady serving was very helpful to everyone. Mini fridge worked well. A/C worked well.

Chair was old, fraying, and dirty. Furniture was scratched. Lack of desk charging for laptop, phone, and iPad. Had to use various locations to charge items. Cracked bathroom sink. Horrible valet cart. It needs to be lighter, cleaner bottom, and easily fits in elevator.

They seem to try to keep the hotel clean but that was the lobby. The rooms could have been cleaner and it seems like a lot of persons with housing insecurity.
